just got the last two pieces to the puzzle in the mail today.

sorry joe, stole this picture from you. I got a 2.8 RIP pulley for my setup, and got my dual pumps from speed tweekerz as well..

I set my rockers to the specs that Comp said to in the instructions, but something doesnt seem right. i had ran my truck for a minute and sounded pretty ungawdly.... my can specs are in my sig, i have a hydraulic roller. any pointers to setting my rockers better. how long does it take for the oil to bleed down out of the lifters?

the comp instructions say: to adjust the intake valve, turn the motor over so the exhaust valve just starts opening, then tighten the rocker down until you cant "twist" the pushrod with your fingers. then give it half a turn and tighten the locking allen screw. and to adjust the exhaust valve, turn the motor over till the intake valve has gone down fully and started coming back up about half to 2/3rds the way up and set the same way.

That doesn't sound like enough lifter pre-load to me. That's how we do the old 305's and 350's. I have the Crane rocker adjust instructions around here, I'm pretty sure the same procedure will work for you. Pm me with a fax number if you want.

nice to see what you have stepped up to.....twice LOL. I will finally get to put that MP122 HH to use here soon. I have less than 50 days left here in Iraq, and then the truck goes under the knife! I can't wait. Be on the lookout for my thread in here when i get started.

will do man, cant wait to see how it will perform for you. As for my truck, i loaded it up on the trailer last night, brought it up to my place and took it to performance plus (local exhaust shop), he ordered me up a magnaflow dual 3" in, dual 3" out muffler and some 5" exhaust tips. He figures it will be done by thursday or friday. And then its ready for a tune!

Some of these parts look familiar

Can't wait to see how you like it! I loved it when it was on mine. You should have some pretty good boost numbers with that 2.8" pulley.

So, were you able to get the valves adjusted correctly? Sounds like you're almost finished with the project.
