Default turbo ls 55' chevy

I have been working on this for the past year and a half: 1955 chevy pickup, 2nd series. I currently have a 93 Fullsize Blazer that I LS swapped a few years ago and is my DD, I needed a truck and figured a turbo LS is the way to go. Turbo piping isn't optimal but it seems to be doing great, frame is a bit narrow for the 99-07 log manifolds.

Got it running and have been making laps around the neighborhood, but still needs a tune and a few things finished up before i beat on it.

Below is a list of what has gone into this truck:

2004 5.3 engine with "317" heads, upgraded valve springs, push rods, melling oil pump, head studs, ls6 cam and an ls1 intake.
TH-350 transmission (upgraded internals, 3K converter)
LS performance wiring standalone harness
No limit Rack and Pinion steering conversion
2.5" drop spindles and 1" drop springs for the front
4" drop springs in the rear
Modified 72 C10 frame to accept the 55 cab and front clip
Home built turbo kit using flipped truck manifolds (Ceramic Coated)
Home built downpipe into magnaflow 3" muffler and dumping under bed.
70mm on3 T4 turbocharger, May switch to a master power t76.
Precision 38mm waste gate
50mm BOV
Front mount intercooler 31" x 11" x 3"
18 Gallon Fuel Cell under the bed.
Bosch 044 inline pump, all summit 8an feed lines. Boost reference FPR, Holley EFI rails and summit 6an return line.
70's van column, 94 chevy truck bench seat.
Aftermarket gauges, plus AEM wideband and Boost/Vacuum gauge
Rebuilt front end components (ball joints, etc)
Disc conversion for rear axle
CPP firewall mount brake booster.
Cameo bed with all the trim removed, frenched taillights and a 1 piece fiberglass rear bumper.
20" mb racing "old school" wheels. Rear :255/45r20 Nitto NT05 tires, Front: 245/35r20 tires

So I got bored of the 70mm and swapped in a master power 76mm, then got bored of that and put on a meth kit and a on3 7875 along with a 4L80e swap. Now I have gotten bored of the low compression 5.3 and stock cam setup.

I did switch out my “custom” top crossover to a more conventional log setup but it was built by some backwoods “performance shop” in Pencilvanyia. I ended up pulling it off 4 different times to fix cracks. It actually ballooned due to the thin tubing. I bought a Huron log manifold and a tbss driverside manifold. Built my own crossover. In addition I picked up the vs racing s475 t4 clone. I was just gonna slap it on my JY 5.3 setup but I think she’s tired after 4 summers of beating on it. There’s some updates on the build in my link below. (DD gauges, new tire/wheel setup, pics of crappy log setup) I’ll try to update in here as stuff progresses.

so far I’ve accumulated some parts to build a forged 6.0

05 LQ4 bored .010 over. (#3 cam bearing cam dislodged and had low oil pressure, didn’t score the journal, rest of motor was fine). Light polish on crank and gonna slam new bearings in it.
Wiseco pistons with k1 Rods, stock crank
127 FIC injectors
Reusing my stock 317 heads with BTR dual springs
Elgin e1838p cam
VS s475
arp main and head studs

Will be reusing my trunion upgraded rockers, pushrods and ls1 Intake with Holley rails. I reallly like the Holley high ram but not sure if I’ll go that route yet. Goals are 750 BHP. Luckily Atomic has been tuning it for the past few years so he will take care of it this go around. Only crappy part is I live in Alaska and I get about 5 months of driving time each year, so the goal is to have it going by May.
