Cool project and thanks for sharing.

Did you do anything to target weight reduction or are those models just that light? My 99 rcsb was 4274# fully fueled the last time it was on the scales.

Weight reduction was not my original goal until i got it on scales. Not sure to the difference between my old sbc and t56 vs my aluminum 6.2 and new t56 but most that weight came out of the back half of the truck so it is super tail happy, going to be losing a ton of steel on the front half this spring to help even it out. not sure if it's realistic but i would like to be 3000lbs before i cage it.

Cool project. Did you cut a trap door in the bed to fill the fuel cell? Got any pictures of that?
I have a fuel cell in the bed of my 95. It was supposed to be temporary and then it never became a priority to move it beneath the bed. I would like to mount my cell in the same spot that you have.

I just used a hole saw where the fill door is, my bed just has like a 3" hole in it, when I take a pic I'll post it

I have a 91 chevy longbed essentially the same truck. What 4 link did you go with in the back? When you get ready to sell the wheels and tires what kinda money you looking to get. I have beat to hell wheels on my truck right now and looking for straighter wheels. Also how did you get those fat meats on the back without hitting the shocks?

its just a cheap eBay 4 link I parted together and made work with other parts I had, I built it with running 12" wheels out back in mind, still got plenty of room. I would sell these if your local, I'm in Chicago.

In that pic it looks like you cut a cross bar and attached the front of the 4 link? The shock mounts look like you relocated them as well. Is it the stock 10 bolt still? Also looks like an axle flip with homemade C notches? I'm an hour from chitown.

im not really understanding your questions? the bar is just to stiffen frame and has a safety loop, no flip kit here because it doesn't have leafs. it seems pretty clear in the description. wheels w/ newish tires ill let go for 1200, send me DM when you're interested in buying.
