Small but big step forward, finally got the 434 in the truck this past weekend! Got the clutch bled too. Onto the other details of the fuel system, electronics and freshen up the accessory drive components. Gonna clean up the wire harness of items not needed. Getting closer.

I have most everything hooked up. Next is onto the wiring. I have some question on how to make the stock fuel pump work, the fuel level sending unit and the fans. I have a regulator that is supposed to be able to handle the high pressure and drop it down to 6psi. How can I make the pump work correctly? What wires are do I need to intersect to make my fuel gauge work? Will the stock fans come on as needed with just the stock sensor in the head, or do they require additional triggers from sources? The tall valve covers caused me to have to space up the A/C pump and get a longer belt. Still have either make a new A/C line or try to bend the tube so that I can get the passenger side valve cover off so I can service the valve adjustments. Waiting the upper radiator hose and some shorter spark plugs for just one cylinder #3 can't get the plug in, hits the header tube, which is frustrating!! You would think Headman headers would have figured this out already. Don't understand how some parts are designed without checking something like this. Hopefully the short plugs will work, otherwise I'll have dimple the tube.

?
The gauges I'll be using are analog type from Holley.

Are you still retaining the trucks ECM? The ECM pin 42 (under the blue cover) and pin 33 (under green cover) triggers the cooling fans which still should be already wired since the 07 came with e-fans. You could always do the "race car" approach using toggle switches to power the fans and fuel pump.

I'll be using the ECM & BCM as needed for the rest of the truck. I'm assuming all the body lights, A/C, radio etc. will all still work. From what I've gathered they all run from the BCM.
I think the fans will work, because I'm still using the stock temp sensor. Unless they reference some other signal to operate???
I saw on YouTube how to jump the pump relay to make it run constantly with the relay out of the circuit. Don't want to run it like that with adding another relay outside the fuse box. Looking to just add a trigger wire to the existing relay to run the pump. If I'm thinking correctly the pump will prime then shut off, and then needs another reference signal to turn back on either the crank or oil pressure signal?? I could plumb in the stock oil pressure switch but, it would be a pain in the A** to do now off the back of the block.
I still need to find the fuel level wires to tie into my new gauge, it's programmable for different OHM senders. Anyone know or have some schematics?
Thanks

I have it running. Problem is the fans do not turn on???? I have the temp sensor hooked up and the factory gauge is working for reference while testing.
If I jump the Blue wires to ground under the relays the passenger side fan comes on at high speed, jump the green wire and the driver side comes on low speed. What other reference signal is the ECM looking for to run the fans. I would like to figure this out but need some help here if anyone knows what's going on??? Otherwise I'll have to just put in my own relays and temp sensor to operate them. I got the fuel pump to run with just turning on the key, just had to ground one pin on the pump relay. Another issue I'm finding is, under the main fuse box there is not a true keyed on source to run my MSD box. All of them are linked to the exterior lights which turn off during cranking and also stay on after the key is turned off time delay before the lights go out. I can't use any of the stock ignition wiring because after the rear gear change the ECM would turn on the speed limiter at 78mph. HELP??

Have you looked under the "Dorito" shaped cover on the side of the dash for a keyed on power source?

The fans have to be turned on in the ECM.
If the vehicle/ecm didn't have factory e-fans it may not be turned on by default.

I have not checked the fuse panel in the cab yet for a keyed source.
Truck came with factory e-fans.
I'm thinking maybe because I'm not using any of the factory ignition circuit or the VSS signal that the ECM is not seeing anything from it, it doesn't know the engine is running???

Now every time you pull off that cover you'll think of snack food (powers of suggestion)
