Started stripping the front down to prep for engine removal and cleanup of the frame. Eventually everything will be pulled off down to a rolling chassis and pretty much be rebuilt from the ground up....

Jumping around while I wait for the suspension parts to keep it as a roller, I started to work on the new intake. Did something a little different here too. I wanted to keep the turbo cooling system pretty easy and straight forward so wanted to go with a high ram and a 417 intercooler sandwiched in there. Well as it has it Holley doesn't make a high ram for a SBC so I have to make my own... Started ordering a few parts to see if I could kinda frankenstein some stuff together. I have no idea if this is going to work as planned but hey what the hell....

Started off with a Edelbrock SBC efi intake manifold and basically cut it in half. Then from there got in the Holley parts that matched the closest to the Edelbrock and went from there. Its still a work in progress but you get the idea I'm going for...

It is by no means finished still positioning stuff so everything flows like it should. Fig it couldn't be too much different then how the Edelbrock originally flowed into the cylinders. The center of the Holley lower lid will be machined out to match the Edelbrock and be welded together. Basically a open lower plenum. The intercooler will be mounted in-between like I have it on my black GMC and should operate like any other high ram.

This is the ultimate end game for this truck looks wise. Going with Corvette Atomic Orange for paint and with the Welds and lowered PorterBuilt suspension should look pretty nice. Still debating about doing the one piece window. I bought all new parts to keep that little corner window but more and more I look at it i kinda want to do the swap. Will see.

Looks awesome. I miss my square body! I like the 1 piece windows too, but not sure about the shaved tail lights. Gonna be badass no matter what! Keep up the good work.

Yeah was just playing around on photoshop. Not going to shave them just going to swap to some nice LED tailights like Dakota Digital makes. Already got the new factory looking lenses in from LMC truck.

Lol man I wish I had the time to enjoy the stuff I buy. I work a lot so I guess that's my trade off. I got this truck, my black GMC, a single cab I'm messing with and also a pre runner I'm acquiring parts for so I got a bunch of stuff going on just with truck projects. Also bought a couple acres of land and in the process of building a new house and a nice shop so just been crazy. Hopefully once I get the shop built I'll be able to get stuff done quicker and with faster updates on stuff. For now though just finding whatever time I get to get things done. Been working out of my buddies garage for the time being and since he has a lift its been awesome but it's kinda far away so to get up on a day off and basically commit several hours to messing with my trucks is kind of a hard decision with everything else going on.

Yeah if my buddy had had a lift, i get the feeling the body wouldve been off my truck.... At this point if i had a garage, and not just the ones i work at, i might actually be done at this point... Or into a lot of other stuff!!!!
