yeah - a touch more than a 1/4pt reduction going from 706s to 799s. then dynamic drops a little further when you eventually cam it (because that's the natural order of things, whether we plan on them or not).

and the smaller heads also do really well on 6.0s for power under the curve. top end is where the 799s start winning for either engine.

Well I’m pretty sure I hurt the motor in my turbo silverado. Didn’t retune it for the weather change and it went from about 80 degrees to 30ish degrees in a couple of weeks. Doing a pull getting onto the hwy it went lean to 12.2 afr in full boost and after that I noticed a miss on the engine and heard my wastegate leaking at idle. Pulled my wastegate off and found what I think are chunks of piston in between the valve and firing ring. Sad day. Debating on trying to sell the truck to someone as a running driving project that needs a new motor or waiting till early next year when I have time and building a rod and piston 370cid motor for it next year. My wife says she’s cool with what ever I decide to do. I was happy with the power the stock motor made but unfortunately I was a little careless with tuning it. I also understand the rabbit hole I can go down if I build a rod/ piston motor for it as I’ll probably do a cam, valve springs and a converter at the least as well so it will add up pretty quick $$$ wise.

Lol. I know I was really sad about it lol. Mostly because I was happy with where it was at and just built a nice stereo for it and now I feel like I can’t enjoy it because I was a dumb *** but such is life.

if i didn't trust my tuner as much as i do, i'd feel edgy about that every time i took the car out into the hills.
my LS1's pushing the envelope for a stock short block at almost 700whp from a roots blower.

to be fair: he's a corvette specialist who's been tuning max-effort LS builds for almost 20yrs now (and spent a number of years chasing down the manual trans C5 1/4mi record)

Not a huge deal but I ordered this tonneau cover for my s10 recently off eBay and it just came in so I installed it. I was blown away at how good it fit the truck. It was super easy to install and after a minor adjustment to the latches it sat on there super snug. Very happy with it and it was the cheapest one on there. I believe the brand is “mountain man”

Is it a snap or roll up or something? I need one for my tundra but I’m choking on the cost of a back flip.
