might consider it (or mill the 799s or just work some 706/862 castings instead). 799s will drop your compression below a normal LM7's due to the bigger chambers. that's why the Gen4 5.3s went to 4.8 pistons with the head swap.

From what I’ve found it goes from 9.4 to about 9.2 to 1 comp. I don’t think it will be a terrible difference. I did read an article where the 706 heads made more power then all the other heads on a 5.3l though and thought it was interesting.
