Well that didn't work. Apparently I have to drive half way back and then there again for it to fill before I do another WOT run. At least I didn't have to pay for the sheet metal, but the fittings weren't cheap. I'll be able to reuse the hoses and ends. I'm still proud of the concept even in failure.

Never know unless you try. Good job thinking outside of the box. So whats the new plan of attack?

Can you not just run an 044 in tank and a 044 inline? Seems like that would take you al ong way if youre running 93 not so much if youre wanting to run E85 though. Couple people on tech running easily setup up triple pumps now.

Twin Supra pumps in the tank. Maybe two fuel buckets.

What the **** does this mean!?!?!?!!?!

Why are you making such a simple issue so hard? I understand wanting to think outside the box and I do plenty of that myself! You can buy an aftermarket cell for $100 or less. You can run 2 or 3 pumps intank and be done.

This is the third try at this?!?!? or the seccond? Your first attempt I am amazed only lasted a year or so(makes sense it should have lasted for ever) but oh well.

What is the proven setup? I ruined two POS Walbros. I went through the butchered bucket, and having to keep the tank 1/2 full. I thought I could do better. I tried using this pump in series with the stock pump, it didn't keep up. I got sick of hearing this MagnaFuel siren running all the time, and tried two setups that had it run on a boost pressure switch, one almost worked but leaked. I don't want to lose the spare tire location with a cell there. As far as "2 or 3 pumps intank", OK, that's what I mentioned above with the two Supra pumps, but then am I back to having to keep the tank 1/2 full to keep the pumps from sucking air? I can't believe that these two pump setups with the pumps just sitting in the bottom of the tank never suck air. They might work in a Firebird, but the shape of the truck tank doesn't seem to lend itself well to performance pumps.
I'm sure this would all look frustrating, but don't worry, I am enjoying the experience (I almost said I am having fun).
What do you guys think of two in-tanks, but with two buckets for stock reliability?

Two pumps when done right works or bosch 044 take your pick.I dont know how your problems with walbro pumps came about. It really dosent matter...I will say every time i kept solid constant voltage 14-16vdc and never allowing them to suck air.My walbro pumps lasted.I have probably installed 15 or so of them over the years and everytime I had a problem it was my bad.It is possible to get the pumps close enough to the bottom of the tank so as to not worry about uncovering under wot w/ 1/4.Obviously you cant get much lower unless a new bucket or baffle system is setup.
So you know I really enjoy your posts, pics, comments about new develpements in your setup.I think you would know my peronality well enough that im not too hardcore serious about my thoughts usually.

No, quoting your post was just easier to answer both you and custm2500. I'm proud to be able to upset you, custm. Just for the tone of your post, I'll probably try 2 or 3 more unproven systems.

Oh, I wish I thought of that!
