brought the 5.3 home tonight and threw the cam in it. been working on cleaning the frame up to paint it inside the engine bay so I can drop the motor in.

Worked on my engine wiring a little. Threw a header on to check clearance for the starter and crank sensor wires. I'm running those around the back of the engine instead of the front.

Also threw in my Lokar dipstick and put a valve cover on it just so I can see what its gunna look like. I wanna have the headers ceramic coated before I put them in the truck but we'll see.

Cleaning the frame




And a better pic of the motor


Got the frame cleaned and painted yesterday. Had the 5.3 sitting in the truck for a few minutes today to mark the holes for the new motor mounts. And test fit the headers.

First coat of paint on the frame.

Now all that is back out and I put another coat of paint on the frame in there. Also got the oil pan painted.
