It sounds crazy but, for the trim residue, start with oven cleaner. (I thought my bodyman buddy was nuts back when he told me but, its made to not hurt the enamel)

After that gasoline. Just clean it off fast. Done it for 3M tape on my truck.

I've used brake cleaner, it doesnt harm the paint if you wipe it off when you are done. Same with gasoline, just clean the area when you are done, it's not like it's sitting on the paint for hours/days.

A 3M eraser wheel works awesome or goo-gone if you let it sit long enough. And use a hair dryer to heat up the tape and it comes off better.

X2 on the eraser wheel, kinda pricy like 40$ but works good and doesn't take long, and some good meguiars scratch x with a microfiber to clean it all up.

Agreed on the eraser wheel, pricey but worth every penny.

Up date my trans guy phoned me today and he started on it. It will be done in a few weeks.
He ordered me a new fly wheel and t style shifer for it.
Said it would have buttons on it for the trans brake, line lock when I decide to add it and other goodies.

I also ordered new heavy duty yoke, joints so when the trans is in I can get a new drive shaft to match.
hp tuners pro is also on the way.
Still need to get a map sensor
So I have been reading I need to get a base tune form a stick truck to start with correct?

I also have 2 days off so I can work on the truck install boost gauge wide band and e fans!
will be getting some picks on here to I hope.
I'm not sure what to do with the front end paint it all black with a chrome bowtie or leave the bumper chrome and paint everything else black? not sure what would look nice.

And if I have time I will lower the rear for now till I decide to 4link it
