You're right, you don't want to go too tight, but some like it tighter then others, haha. Try going .025" and see if it helps at all. Does it seem to break up once full boost hits, or a certain rpm? Wish this thing would cooperate, I'm excited to see how it runs!

Pretty inconsistent where it breaks up. I had a couple runs printed out just to have for reference later.

Going to try replacing these coils

..with these

I really need to invest in a scanner lol...

I'm using the style you are changing to. Mine have 200k on them and seem to work well?

You may need the longer plug wires if u switch to those I know the older trucks had two choices. It looks like the ones you are running are the delphi coil and the extras you have or the melco coils which take the 10.5" wire instead of the 9.5" so that may be food for thought if you try it.

The coil is mounted slightly further from the plug with the other ones. I didn't even think of that...

Like he said the mounting brackets are differnet. The only reason I thought of it is from selling them here at the shop all day long and haveing to ask if they have the square coil or the round ones.

So I went ahead and swapped in the other coil packs, and added some nice MSD wires. Runs like a champ now! Tried out some 4-5psi boosted 4wd launches and have been having fun with it almost all afternoon. Also took it down into the washes to play in the sand with the 4wd and that was kicking *** too. I'm very pleased with it.

Only problem left is the wideband issue. The thing is still dead in the water. So for now I am stuck at 10psi without being able to tune it for more boost. Still a ton of fun though!
