Drained and packed for the ride!

Double bagged and cocooned in 3.5" inch memory foam.

The foam is heavy... hopefully I'm not over the 150lb UPS limit.

I'm driving the truck with the original transmission, it shifts great with no issues. It's killing me knowing a have a full bottle of nitrous and I can't pull the trigger. Last think I need is broken down on the side of the hwy, paying a tow truck $400 to rip off my front bumper dragging my heap up on a flatbed wrecker

I've been a model citizen driving like "Driving Miss Daisy (1989)"

Wait, another truck guy prepper and in my neck of the woods? Now we really have meet up sometime.

Double zip tie'd the lid on plus used nylon reinforced banding tape for more lid security.

Hoisted the crate 22" just enough to slide a table underneath then slid the table to the tailgate. Needed to lift the crate another 3" to work it on the tailgate not bad for an old one legged cripple guy! I have a buddy coming over tomorrow to help set the crate on the cart at the UPS customer center.

At least it's off for repairer/inspection. Won't be long before your making nitrous hits again!

The transmission made it woot woot

I guess my packaging strategy was tough enough to sustain the abuse from the UPS gorilla's

That's saying something!

They managed to bend the handle on my 8" Wilton vice 10 years back - that thing is like 5/8" thick! They must've dropped it off a fork truck at full extension, onto the pavement of the loading dock below ...

DISASTER

Coming back from Harbor Freight one mile from home I blew a transmission cooling line (I think). My guess it's one of the Jiffy Tite clips on the cooling lines. They say you're supposed to replace them each time you pull the line(s). I used the jiffy tool to release but probably used the same clips.

I'm glad I was close to home, the trans temps were just below 200* when I pulled in the garage. Thankfully I ordered 3 gallons of ACDelco Dexron VI on Prime Day yesterday. It will be here Friday... this will give me a couple days to clean up the underside, drop the exhaust system, driveshaft, crossmember etc. to get to the connectors

Just enjoying the drive listening to the fave song in my playlist "California Dreaming" from the movie soundtrack "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood"
