Also, your truck doesn't seem to be slowed down much by the 80e. 14.2 @ 4250lbs with a bone stock lq4?

I should also add that PRC heads were added due to a header bolt breaking off in the driver's head. So anyways, for the most part the truck has been extremely stagnant and should I say very BORING to drive. I did manage to run a best of 14.06@96.6 last March on the Toyo 285/60s.

Silver-mod-o (Ben) has been kind enough to put me up and we're gonna go to work on this thing next weekend if all goes well.

Here's what I've got planned:

stock 2004 4l80e
Yank PT3600 258mm converter
EPS 222/226 113 cam
ARH 1 7/8" w/ catless 3" Y, stock catback
pac 1518 springs
delphi 42lb injectors
LC-1 wideband, tuning by yours truly (oh boy)

Here's the GMracer 4l80e crossmember. He did a nice job and thanks to him for delivering it in a timely manner.

Those are all the pictures I have now, the trans isn't really anything to look at, and the truck is a mess right now due to the weather and all the damage it's sustained (parking lot hit and runs) over the years. I suspect these round of mods will be the last in a while for power, and I'll start focusing on the aesthetics of the truck. Things like new wheels, getting the dents fixed, a new front and rear bumper, etc.

The goal for this whole setup is to run 12s, and to be perfectly honest I'll be pretty upset if it does not. Ben is pretty sure that the 80e is really going to bog things down, but the way I see it, if the truck already went 14.0, the addition of a cam and stall should drop it another second, even with the parasitic loss of the 80. The only one on here I'm aware of that ran the 80e N/A was Pewter53, who took a stock cam, stock heads, bolt-on LQ4, and 4000 stall to 13.02 in a reg cab. So anyways, let's just see what happens.

I just found this & got a few Q's. Why pull the headers for $ reasons? Was it eatin up gaskets or what? Did ya get the 80E from Ben or around your home?

Mike, did Ben & u ever make it to track? Are ya tryin to reach your goals N/A?

Don't get down if a project seems stagnant. Everyone hits "a wall" where they can't push past. You'll get there. Gateway here u come.

All the headers except the Dynatech had flaws I was not able to except (i.e. Pacesetters rusting). But these ARHs are here to stay.

The 4l80e I got from a guy local who bought the LQ4 for his camaro and had the 4l80e sitting in his shed.

We never got to the track, whole day was bogged down for various reasons. End goal just was to get the truck moving under it's own power again.

Yes, goal has always been 12s N/A. I think this is very attainable.

When I get the chance I'll take and post up some pictures of the 80e and ARHs installed.

How's the truck running? Good choices on parts for sure.
