There are 4 (8 total, 4 for each side) that connect the mount to the engine block and 3 (6 total, 3 for each side) that connect the mount to the Frame unless I'm missing something. So in all there are actually 14 bolts.

Ok so...I got to work today!!
I got the flex plate, it was delivered to one of my hot neighbors so in order to not be rude and do the grab and dash I had a glass of wine and a visit when I picked it up!
So I put the flex plate on and I can only assume that it went on the following way...

+

=

Torqued down the ARP bolts to 74ft/lbs with a little Loctight and voila...

I then had to roll my truck out of the garage so I could drop the engine in...I don't have a high enough ceiling and even outside I was still constrained by the overhang

It actually went in rather quick, I bunggied the A/C compressor, power steering pump and misc cables and hoses out of the way and didn't have any hic-ups

I couldn't get a block of wood behind the block to keep it from falling back so I strapped it to the core support, seems to do the job pretty well

With the help of two hot neighbors who were on the way to the pool, I had them push the truck back in the garage while I steered!!
Nothing like seeing two cuties in two piece bathing suits push a truck and breaking a sweat!!!
After I got the truck back in the garage and back up on jack stands.

Removed the cherry picker and chains and this is how she sits for now...

I think the next thing is gonna be to sort out and maybe bolt on a few of the front accessories so I can start to make sense of all the hoses, wires, clips and tubes and get them back to their proper place. I still need to buy/find a tranny jack and it looks like I'll have to lift the truck a little higher anyways because I don't see the tranny fitting under the truck at it's current height!

Thanks guys!!
I'm probably gonna head back down to the garage in a little bit and see what I can do next, not sure where to go from here that isn't gonna cause problems later but I guess it's just trial and error at this point!

However, I can think of at least 12 people who are rolling their eyes at me because of how slow I am going!!

Sooo to all of you other peeps lurking in the shadows!

I think its great he is doing his own work, bravo lil bro!

After having my own shop and doing the swap with simon, I will never again have another shop build anything of mine... sure I will get help, but the work will be done at my shop for the most part.

Hands on is what really makes it special. Keep up the good work, see you tomorrow for lunch!
