I'm sure q good chunk of that came from switching to E85 too though.

I'm sure it has a little to do with it, not much, but a little. Timing is still very similar to when it was on gas.

Now where it will really shine is when we turn the bottle on

Sounds Interesting.. Its funny and most would call you stupid but with a lot of research and a couple widebands you can set up a carb to be almost as efficient as a fuel injected engine. You will never surpass the efficiency a well tuned efi engine.. reason is fuel cut off is used in efi engines where a carb as long as air flow is being pulled past the venturies so fuel is flowing.. A full understanding of venturies and metering blocks is critical! You have a lot to study!

I promise it didn't run 13's. It did last time out and I told everyone that if it did it again without some kind of breakage, I was going to stop on the return road and light it on fire lol

Did you mess around with the timing any? I am curious to where you end up with the carb and e85 swap.

The timing wasn't much different than with efi. Just a couple degrees more. Granted this is the first time out with it, but I did try to add 2* more and only gained .06mph...That little of a gain didn't seem worth it.

I've read about people using as much as 35* but I wasn't really close to that. 30* is where I ended up at
