yeah! tools showed up today
went and picked up the transmission today as well. Ended up talking with Art for a while, he was telling me about the old days of drag racing, good stuff, the old footage of Pomona is crazy some of those cars looked like a frame, bucket, wheels, and an engine haulin *** down a side street
Plenty was done to it, but from what I can remember; hardened input and intermediate shafts were put in, kolene steels, raybestos red and metallic clutches (the metallics going on the intermediates if memory serves me right), shift kit gone over (btw, Kent was the one that did my rebuild and he said he was surprised to see the transgo shift-kit was installed correctly! LOL, I guess not too many people get the 4L80E correct, score 1 for me ), lighter check ***** installed, yada yada...................can't remember it all. In a nutshell, they built it the best way they know how to build a 4L80E.
Anyway, snapped a few pics for you guys
these things ain't light
stock input/intermediate shafts
stock input shaft
hardened input shaft
forgot what these are called but were replaced with a torrington bearing
that's about it, spent the day driving around and ordering some last minute nuts and bolts
