You do realize that by pulling the motor you are killing two birds with one stone. Not only is it MUCH easier to do all the work on the motor(have you ever degreed a cam in the truck? not fun IMO), but oyu can also put the tc in too without having to pull the trans. Food for thought.

In his situation if I had an engine hoist i'd pull it and if I didn't have access to one I wouldn't. No biggie either way.

Never seen where he posted that he was having it rebuilt, IMO for the power he is going to be making it is wasted money, plenty of people have taken a stock 80e past 600rwhp not to mention his has a shift kit in it.

Like Turbo said if you got a hoist pull it, your back will thank you.

I believe he might have been having some small issues with the tranny already so he wanted to get a good trans in it before adding anymore power.

I remember some post by him in the drivetrain section now that I think of it. Oh well either way my back hurt for a couple of days after helping turbogibbs with his cam swap and doing my lifter/cam swap in my truck and Im a younger fella. Either way Grip there better be some pics of it torn all the way down when I check back at midnight before I go to work

Yeah, leaning over the truck working in the engine bay sucks.

Good luck Gripster!
