Default Project 6.0 Dirt Track Car..

Somethin I've been wanting to do for a long time and I just got the go ahead to do so. Schoenfeld makes the headers to fit my chassis. Quarter Master makes the clutch plate that will bolt up to crank. I've already got an Edelbrock carb intake and MSD 6LS controller. I'll have to fab up some motor mounts. Gotta find a holley blue fuel pump and regulator. On the oil pan I'm not quite sure what to use and I guess ill use all the truck accessories up front and run an alternator.

I'll get some pics soon as everything gets here for it.

Got the motor setting in it today. The oil pan will be an issue, going to have to find a shorter pan.

Oil pan too low

The vette' pans are very low profile... They have the "batwing" shape and I don't know how that would affect your oiling situation being a dirt car but I'd look into one

If you could clear the bat wings of the Vette pan it would be a good choice, also a F-body pan would work.

From the wee bit of reading I've done on the Conversions section of Tech, a CTS-V pan should do ya. Or you could get your pan sectioned. Very cool race engine though. Should be a big step up from the gen 2 small block I'm sure.
