Default Project 1320 in 11 seconds!! 600HP 5-speed to 4l80E

Alright, you guys pushed me and pushed me by posting these damn track video's. I've decided to get off the bench and pull this 5 speed out and hit the strip with a hard hitting auto, with a goal to run 11's with the stock Foose 20inch rims, maybe mid 11's on the bottle.

I ordered a built 4l80E today from CK Performance, includes full manual valve body and transbrake. Should have it by next week.

Next in line to order/install include:

Stall Converter
Trans Cooler
Rear Diff bearing support, help keep the true-trac alive
Adjustable front and rear shocks.
Either Cal-Tracs or some sort of bars to keep the rear from bouncing
Possible Shock Extenders to help shock angle
Manual Shifter to work with 4l80E
Flexplate
Get Drive Shaft Cut
Considering Fuel Tank behind rear Axle

Wish me luck, hope to have it up in running within 2 weeks.

you should see that, I have been mid 12's street trim with a good m/t radial. I might make 500 hp through the 4l80 and a stock g80 3.73.......

I don't see why the weight and more power wouldn't get you really close!!!!

I hope so. Just got off the phone with Chris at Circle D Performance, after talking it over with him, I went with the GM 245mm Pro III 4L80E, 3200-3400 Stall (http://www.circledspecialties.com/p-...converter.aspx)

He said with the Transbrake and turbo I should stall out around 4k. Sounds fun =)

Get a 2-step so you can build some decent boost off the line and you will be deep in the 11s with slicks. On a street tire you will be hard pressed to do better than a mid 12.

Currently have 305/35/20 Nitto 555r's, dr's. I don't know how well they'll do though, we'll see. Might have to go to a smaller rear brake so I can run some slicks on a better rim.

Another option is to sell these and buy the Nitto NT05R 315 DR's and have weldcraft widen my rims from 9.5 to 12"

This will be a nice upgrade, my trans ended up having a cracked direct drive piston. I should see it in a week or so and i can finish my 80e swap.

Just a heads up, you can do a segment swap and the ecm will run everything fine, but the bcm doesnt allow function of any of the automatic extras...cluster, brake interlock, tow haul (tow haul im still working with)

Im going to get with some dealers and tell them what im doing and see if my body computer can be flashed with automatic function. If not i will doing custom wiring for a gear indicator panel.
