I tapped mine right behind the a/c compressor. As high as I could get it. Don't really like it that much there. A lot of people tap on the front of the pan, sort of near the balancer.

Pulling the pan is cake if you have a 2wd. I can pull mine in 20mins easily.

It's 1/2 NPT. But I would do a -12 drain that's just me eventhough mine seems to be okay with -10.

You can tap the pan just fine with it on but you will have a LOT of metal shavings sitting in the bottom of the pan. I feel they will just sit in the bottom and not cause a problem but I pulled my pan just because I didn't want the thought of all that metal in there.

It's aluminum, which is not magnetic. You can use grease on your drill bit to catch the shavings take your time and go slow.

I removed my pan just to be safe. If your truck is going to be down for a while I would just remove it

My -10na had a 3/8npt use a 9/16" drill

I use 5/8 hose and a 1/2npt fitting on the pan. The actually ID of -10 is close to the ID of 1/2 npt. NPT is pretty big for its given size because it states the ID of the hole wheras AN rates it by the OD of the pipe....or something like that.

Should be ok if the pipe is wrapped...but its usually that hose that gets destroyed not the drier.

well thats good news, i was worried about getting it too hot and blowing it up since i believe its under pressure . so i just ordered the oil adapter for the feed from trick performance so no drilling/tapping there which is good news to me. so im thinking about running the return to the front of the pan right below the crank pulley , i looked around last night under the truck by the starter ,by the ac compressor and it just seemed like it was allot easier to get to the front of the pan with a drill then anywhere else . anybody have some pics they can post up of them returning the oil to this spot? you guys think it will be a good spot for the return ?
