I need some advice from you turbo guys. How are you controlling spark? Currently I have the high and low octane tables table topped at 26 degrees in the boosted regions. Then I'm using the AFR correction to pull timing when it it commands anything richer than 13:1 or so. The problem in seeing is that there is about a one second delay from the time it sees boost to the time boost enrichment is commanded. So it builds almost 5psi before timing drops from 26 degrees to 14. So in that second, I'm picking up knock retard.
At first I was just setting the main spark tables to 12-14 degrees of timing in the boosted region and not using the AFR correction at all. It would just fall on its face though before the turbo spooled.
So back to the original question, how are you boosted turbo guys pulling timing?

I have a gauge for that
iTrader: (42)
Make sure you have the PE enable thing maxed out, so there isnt a delay.
I just have the last row on the timing table set to what I want WOT timing to be, cant really adjust it with boost on the 99-07 pcms. That table is maxed out pretty early.
And as far as the gauges not showing up, that is due to the refresh rate of the gauge being below the frame rate of the video recorder.

Yea I'm only making about 1.10 g/cyl right now. I do have the PE enable maxed out and there isn't a delay in PE. The delay happens between PE and BE. It will command .87 lambda in PE and then once it starts building boost, it stays in PE for about a second before it commands .78 lambda which is what I have my BE set to.
Richard, do you use BE or only PE?

Truck is running pretty damn good. I thought I blew it up today and it was a good wake up call . I got the boost controller hooked up and turned it up from 5.5psi to 7psi, then to 9psi, then to 12psi.. I picked up some really good knock retard during the 12psi run and thought it let go around 6000rpm. Luckily no harm was done and it still runs and pulls clean. I changed the tune and lowered it to 9psi and it is super fun.
First problem arose today after beating on it for a while. There is a pinhole in one of my heater hoses. Don't know if I did it when installing it or what happened. So I have a pretty good coolant leak I will have to fix before I can drive it anymore. Anyways, my uncle recorded an 8-9psi pull through first gear. Can't wait to get a muffler on this truck and drive the **** out of it.

What front bumper cover do you have on in this pic?
