Painted the grill and bumper also, just rattle can but it came out pretty nice. Starter the rear axle flip and c notch, about half way done, should finish up tomorrow if I don’t get bugged non stop again. Also installed the 40k trans cooler, need to do the super servo next and fuel pump.

Also wired up my seat heaters, I really love them gor winter time. Gotta do new leds in the cluster next, I’ll probably go with blue for those. I plan on swapping some tinted windows out of my suburban into this truck since I have them and it’s easy to swap them out, then I’ll get the rear glass tinted to match. They aren’t very dark but I really can’t stand super dark tint.

I really feel like this truck is gonna start coming together. I set it down real quick to see aprox how the back is gonna sit and I think it will be about perfect once done. I removed the rear drop shackles when I did the flip kit because it looked like the axle was gonna about rest on the frame with them on.
wow its looking good man, im shocked how well you have the front grill fitting. I butchered my stock grill trying to make it fill around my 4" intercooler and ended up having to put an aftermarket grill on it, ive been thinking about putting the vents in my hood and this confirms why I want to do it. My trans cooler is mounted behind my front bumper.

Thanks man. I took the ac condenser out so I have plenty of room for my little front mount and trans cooler. I’m really happy the difference a little spray paint made. I bought this truck for $2200 originally and it’s far from perfect but I think at 10 foot it will look pretty nice lol. Just clean enough to turn some heads but beat enough to get used like a truck. The hood vents definitely don’t hurt with heat extraction. These were ones I was gonna put on my pre runner but sold the truck before making the bigger holes gor them. I also added some really small rivets to them to help keep the front down as the double sided tape was about to give up on holding them in place.

2200 is a killer deal for that truck, i paid 7800 for mine 4 years ago and the market has steadily went up. Basically I paid for a shell in a sense because everything that came in the truck has been replaced. I definitely can't get rid of ac though, I live in Louisiana and it's way to hot here for that. I've been thinking about putting the hood vents and then my hood has pins in it but I want to change those out to the flush locking one's. If I put the vents id definitely put rivets as well, im not trucking any tape on my truck, the first tranbrake launch they would probably come flying out, I just changed my gauge cluster a few weeks ago, my radio was a bit rigged and when I took it the track as soon as i launched it my radio flew out onto my see and my entire cluster ripped out with it, needless to say anything I put on the truck needs to be secure.

I’ve had some Hondas like that over the years lol. Got the c notch all done. Welded it to the frame instead of using bolts. Shocks felt kind of worn at the spot where normal suspension travel was so now they are a bit more compressed and it actually rides better lol. Looks like the front needs to come down about another inch but I’ll check again in daylight. New seat heaters work awesome. I really like this truck, I think as long as I can keep it useable I’ll probably end up keeping it for quite a while.

I will probably do the limited slip diff next and then break it in then do the fuel pump, super servo and turn the boost up but I’m excited to drive this again for a little bit.

ive had several Honda's myself, i actually still own an ek hatch but i got screwed my a shop in Texas a few years ago out of 15k, that's really what made me buy the truck and start doing everything myself. Also I think when you slam these trucks they need decent suspension on then, when i go wot in my truck you can definitely tell it could use better quality suspension. My rear end only has a Detroit true trac with 342 gears and Moser axles and it does fairly decent and I have the horon speed dual 525 pump assembly in my truck but originally I cut up the stock hanger and made aeromotive dual 340 pumps fit, I work in thr refinery for a soft craft company so I took some stainless steel insulation metal home and made it new bucket for the 340's and it worked fine, the only reason I took it out is because I was over 90% duty cycle and I just bit the bit and redid my whole fuel system.

I have no plans of making big power with this truck I think 400-450whp should be plenty for it. And yeah unfortunately most of the import shops are a bunch of scam artists who stay in business like 1-3 years before shutting down after ripping off everyone they can. I’m also currently building a first Gen Honda insight. The car should weigh 1550-1600lbs when done and be an absolute riot to drive when it’s done.

ordered some lowering springs for the front. Hopefully they give me 1-1.5” of drop in the front then the truck should sit about perfect.

yeh my truck has slowly spiraled out of control, its right there at the limit now. I can still drive it on the street but if i did to much more I wouldn't be able too. My initial goal with my truck was to be able to crank it up and drive it anywhere I want on the street with all factory controls and be able to go to the track and run consistent 10 second passes, my last few trips something broke. Now the truck has been running well for a good while and its time to take it back but honestly im a bit nervous now because its running so well and I dont want to break anything and yeh that is exactly what happened to me, I paid a shop 15k to build an ls vtec motor for me and turbo it, ive got receipts for everything and never ended up getting what I paid for. That was in 2018, smh if I knew then what I know now I would of done the work myself. Do you have stock spindles on the front or your changed them out?
