My turbo build..

Well I fired her up again to test out the trans and put just a little more run time on the engine before pulling the heads back off. I had a pump problem with my trans so I went throw it myself (first trans job) and its taking all the gears and seems to shift solid yeehaa! Engine is running real good so far, had a little lifter knock on the first start up but now is quiet as a stock engine, the cam dont lope much at all its got no engine shake at idle and you can hardly tell from the exhaust, this will be nice.
I got a set of 706 heads off are spare engine that dont got the notchs in them, ill be putting these on and just get another set of steel ls1 gaskets, this will be a 35 dollar fix but man the work sucks.

Looking real good man, hang in there. I know that leak had to take some wind out of your sails. It is a pretty good job, no question about it.
Keep at it though bud, it will be worth it!

Well shes up and running, went out and got started on some tuning, this was hi 10 low 11 ar with 8-12 degrees timing on 10-12 psi and its shifting eairly most of the pull was third gear. full waight with passenger and on my 20s. I think its off to a good start cause its already running better then my ls1 I think.

Im working on getting my fuel system up to par on my truck, I got some #80 injectors ordered now im trying to deside what to do with the fuel pumps, im just going to add a second 255 in the tank and this should get me 600rwhp on e85 like i wanted. Now sence ill have to run a bigger wire to run both pumps anyways I was wondering what you guy through of just leaving it all the way it is and just hook up a hobbs switch to the second pump? From what i gather it just gos into your intake manifold and you adjust at what boost you want the second pump to come on. Little worried about how reliable it will be.. if that thing ever fails there gos my motor. idk has anyone ever done this? how did you like it? Is this what I need?

Video looked good man. You may find that convertor is a little loose under the boost juice.
Do you have a return setup and a 1-1 regulator? If so just run the second pump full time and don't worry about it. Are you on E85 right now?

This is a rough drawing of Jakes current fuel setup. The regulator has a vacuum hookup on it to reduce pressure under vacuum, but IDK, it might double as a 1-1 boost reference??

Yeah the main reason is i wanted to keep the amps down cause I already have the efan and such on the stock alt. And yeah im not sure what to think on the converter yet eaither, its vary loose below 2500 but seems to tigher up pretty quick after 3500, I guess ill see what it does under big power.
