Default My ongoing work in progress

Not even sure where to start on this.
I picked up an Lq4 a couple years ago for $600 from a local guy here in CT with plans to swap it into a 2000 BMW 740il. After going back and forth with that project, I scrapped the BMW and started looking for a clean RCSB to make things a little less difficult. In the meantime I started tearing down the old tired 6.0 for a bottom up build.
Long story short, the block got a new crank, Callies billet wheel, Compstar rods, Wiseco 4.005 11cc dish pistons, and ARP main/head studs.
Once I got that back from the machine shop, it got a billet timing set, c5r chain and Melling M295 pump. I had been looking for a set of heads as the motor came with cast iron 317s. I looked for a set of 243/799 but the best I could come up with at the time was a set of aluminum 317s.
Back to the machine shop for clean up and assembly. Ended up with stock size Manley valves and a BTR platinum dual spring kit with Ti retainers. CHE trunnion bearings were thrown at a set of stock rockers and a BTR stage 2 turbo cam came next.

since then it’s gotten a Holley Hi Ram, Nick Williams cable TB, Motion Raceworks valley and valve covers, ATI damper.

Then the order was placed for the turbo. I decided to stay on the small side as this thing will most likely not see alot of track time and the donor truck came with a 5 speed trans that will have to get addressed at some point. So a t4 S475 showed up and I went with a KB Racing hotside. Real easy dude to work with btw. All of that is sitting on some Atomic Fab poly motor mounts and the motor is bolted into a extraordinarily clean arrival blue RCSB.

As of right now, I’m waiting on a cell from DB Rods that’s getting a Nuke Performance CFC unit with a built in surge tank. I think I’m gonna be running 3 Waldron 450s (one as a lift pump, one as a main, and one on a Hobbs switch) feeding FIC 1000cc injectors

probably gonna be a little while as parts take time to get and install, but I’ll definitely keep this updated as I go👍🏽

Beautiful truck and build, I hope to start my thread shortly its gonna be a long one for sure, couple questions whats your lowering setup and what size rims are those? love the way it sits. and the touch of color too the engine isn't too much, gonna be going with the billet plate for alternator and power steering as well, do you plan to run a/c still? are you going to run stock ecu? or aftermarket? I love the way the clean firewall looks and I plan on doing the same.

Thanks guys. It’s a McG 4-6 on 20” Texas Edition reps. I’m toying with the idea of running AC and I’m still in the air with my ecu

Nice build I've always loved that color. I thought it was called "Arrival Blue" instead of "Access Blue". What alternator bracket is that and do you have to run the car water pump with it, are the rest of the idlers and tensionors car or truck stuff?

The "go to" tire size for 20" OEM or replica wheels on a 4/6 is a 275/45/20

the bracket is from lsx innovations. I decided to run that one to offset the alt from the intake. I’m running a car water pump because I absolutely hate how the upper radiator hose runs on these trucks. The idler Phillies bolt right on and they show you how to route the belt. Finding the right size belt was not fun to say the least
