Update!!

Man I am seriously lagging haha.

Ok so where did I leave off...

Block Prep.

Deburrring the block:

Chasing the head bolt threads:

Pistons finally and 12pt. Head studs Also borrowed a torque plate from 1FastBrick to get the honing done.

Bolted up the torque plate to re-check the bores.

And now everything back apart for boring

Newb question.

Do you have to have a torque plate for all different bore sizes or is there a certain amount of tolerance one size can do?

My guess would be because of the head studs. I bet if you used bolts it would have been closer to .001

You need different torque plates for different style blocks (sbc, bbc, sbford, GM GenIII, etc.), but you don't need different size bores for those individual blocks...if that answers your question. I'm pretty sure that a 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 torque plate are all the same...
