Why would an oil cooler have a bypass? Is it thermostatic?
Oh, I just found your other thread.

The oil cooler bypass valve is to block off flow through the cooler when the engine is cold. It acts like a thermostat. The engine oil heats up quicker when the oil isn't circulating through the cooler. The valve will help the engine maintain a constant oil temp.

I would leave the bypass valve alone and grab your oil supply from somewhere else. Does it really matter if the oil is a little cooler before it gets to the turbo. It's like taking a cold bath before going to the bunny ranch, your going to hell anyways so what difference does it make what temp you were before you got there.

LMFAO, nice dude...

After a long talk on the phone, everything will be left were I had planed. The oil cooler bypass installed, and the turbo oil supply tapped after the cooler.... I did get a bit more done tonight and it is now 2:37am, I'm going to be even more worthless at work than usual.

The anaconda down pipe...

I got a lot of the wiring done, as well as most of the vacuum/boost controller lines done.

Still need to....

Finish cold side
mount a air filter
locate and mount a coolant res.
install heater hoses
finish oil cooler lines
install turbo drain
install turbo supply
finish wiring crap
reinstall drivers seat

I'm sure there is more.........

Well, everything else in the kit is big enough for a Peterbuilt, so might as well have a diesel muffler in there too, might sound similar

New name for Dustys truck: "Project log truck"
