I have a question, hello and I'm new to all this internet stuff so please forgive me. I have a 97 SBC 5.7
that I'm putting a flat cam in, are the lifters the same as the older SBC, or will I need to find different lifters for the newer block?

Flat tappet cam? I don't know much about the older engines, but why wouldn't you run a roller cam that came with that engine? Is this like a race engine of some sort?

Maybe source some lifters from the TBI era engines? I'm pretty sure those had that type of cam.
