I've never documented a build so I thought I might give it a whirl. I bought my '03 Silverado regular cab step side from a buddy who was the second owner. My buddy didn;t do anything but drive it, lots. He bought it from the original owner, a gentleman in his 60s who special ordered the truck and added mods as soon as he took delivery.
My buddy bought it with 30K and sold it to me with 110K and plenty of neglect. It had been sitting in his driveway for a year, unmoved. I was in need of a DD and had always wanted his truck.
Mods already installed:
Motor:
Polished Radix MP112
3" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
Suspension:
Hotchkis 2/4 drop
airbag overloads
Looks:
Tonneau cover
Bed Rug
Halibrand 6-Bean wheels with knock-offs
rollpan
Inside:
Viper system (components, amps and sub) through stock deck
The bad when I bought it:
Bad paint on the rollpan and tonneau
Dented front bumper
Broke front lower valance
Busted driver's side fog light
Bad driver's side front wheel bearing
Cracked passenger's mirror
Scrapped-off steering wheel buttons and stereo buttons
Broken center console
Broke lower cup holders
Broken stepper motors on the instrument cluster
Paint missing on interior gauge trim
Blown out interior lights on the HVAC
Driver's side inner-fender liner worn through
Bad shocks
Needed some wax
Bald tires
All and all in needed some serious TLC. Sad that he let it go. But I got it cheap.

I plan on reversing a lot of the neglect first. Then start uncorking the motor with a 4" intake setup, 90MM J-Tube and LS3 TB/X-Link as well as add some headers, a bigger exhaust system and e-fans. I'm going to dyno the truck at different stages to see how the mods are doing.
I'd like to see how much power I can make without raising the boost before I pulley it down.
I foresee a built trans in my future as well.
I've been saving my pennies and bought a few parts for it the other day. Also gave it a nice cleaning, waxing and bumper black treatment.
It's a small start, but I suppose it's a start...
The busted front foglight and grey lower valance BEFORE:

Newer OEM black valance and foglight AFTER:

More to come soon!

This weekend I'm going to add Belltech ST shocks, a new driver's side wheel bearing, polish the wheels and get my tires mounted. More pics to come.
Thanks all for the compliments. There are some REALLY nice trucks here on PT.net and I'm hoping that one day mine will be squared away. I'll take some pics of the entire truck after this weekend.
Thanks all

Finally had some time to mess with the ol' girl. I saved my pennies and bought some new tires, Toyo Proxes STII since they're the only tires I could find in the odd rear size (285/60-17 rear and 275/60-17 front) that was already on the truck.
I spent hours, I mean hours, holy crap, polishing wheels back to shiny. I need to find a better method than good ol' hand polishing.
Front:

Rear:

I also replaced the bad driver's side front wheel bearing and added Belltech shocks. I don't have much to compare them to since the Edlebrock units that were on it were shot. But I like them, they are however, on the stiff side.

For now that's it. I'm saving for a built trans but will be adding some gauges and some OEM replacement parts to replace more of the parts that were broken like the passenger mirror glass, roached dash bezel and blown stepper motors in the dash.
Just some cell pics for now:

Stock motor with and out-of-the box radix and 3" Magnaflow cat-back. A few more things and then I'll be diving into motor mods.
