Default My "build" starts today after work..

So I've been scraping up parts for several months now. List is as follows

243 heads milled .030 -- from an LS6 (Assembled) (Bigschwerm)
Ebay/OBX long tubes (2.5" Collectors, with ORY) (Ebay)
2 x 40 series flowstopper mufflers (I honestly don't remember... sorry)
LS2 timing chain (Yank)
Comp 216/220 .525/.532 cam (iamkeniff)
Cometic .040 head gasket (TSP)
LS7 Lifters (TSP)
7.350 Hardened PRs (Bigschwerm)
Stuff to finish up exhaust (Summit)
36# injectors (ShredSled)

Honestly, just trying to add a little more umph to my DD Z71.

In the future, I'm going to add a 2600-2800 stall, I just don't have the funds to do it right now, and I really don't have the time right now, I was lucky to get this weekend to work on it. I've already got efans on it.

I felt the need to post where I bought everything because every one of these guys/companies where/are extremely helpful and answered every question I had, I felt that just the trader rating wasn't enough and they all deserved another shout-out.

I got a new droid phone so I'll be able to post pictures as I progress through this as the weekend goes by.

Any thought, concerns, or questions?

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

This is roughly where we left it tonight. I feel we made some pretty good time considering we've never undertook something of this magnitude before

Guys... for some reason I'm having trouble. I'm not pulling the oil pump... how do I properly set the timing with the new cam since I can't see the Crank gear?

Nevermind, just had to pay closer attention to the crank gear. Heads are on and can is in.... I do have one question.. Those of you running arp head bolts, it says on the final pass to torque the bolts to 75 ft lbs... Is that the right torque measurement? Seemed to be a but soft... Could be because I brooke the head bolts loose with a shorter 3/8" drive.

Rotate the crank gear until the timing marks line up. Then just line the marks up again with the cam gear installed on the new cam.
