how did the transplant go? 8.1 fit right in?

Ordered a trans from joey at tick, trying to figure out what turbos to use, I actually know but cant get the exact part number from the guy that installs them

Welp my trans is Done. Now I just need the quicktime bellhousing and a dual disc clutch setup. I also used a kieseler shifter relocation kit. So hopefully I wont have to hack up the floor too much to get the 6 speed to work.

Great work. It's unique enough and something GM should have followed after the 90's 454SS.

Thanks, yeah it honestly isnt that hard to swap I mean on the cheap you could continue to use factory exhaust etc, since gm made it so v6 and v8 bolt to the same exhaust. Depending on what I do I may try to find a 4.8 work truck and try doing the swap from scratch and make a list of parts. For those of us that like big blocks instead...

Now if i could just get stainless works to reply to my email...
