My 01 RCSB Step Side (thoughts?)
#1
hey guys. im 16 and new to this. I bought a 2001 silverado 5.3 2wd rcsb step side. Im trying to do some mods to it, eventually a cam heads. As of now i have put in a system, 22 konig rims, rear lowering/leveling shackles, flowmaster muffler, tints, smoked tail lights, new grille. Tonight i just ordered a roll pan, street scene mirrors, and black clear bumper lights and headlights. And guys dont think my parents buy all of this, i have payed for all of the parts and i take pride in what i buy. Can i get some mod suggestions or just thoughts on my truck. Thanks guys, Jake

Good looking truck.
If you haven't a custom tune would really help wake it up.
Also start saving up for a 4l80e depending on how hard the mod bug bites you.
What's your overall goals for it??

Nice lookin truck, I would start with some suporting mods first before heads and cam, shift kit transgo hd2, vette servo, there is tons of info on here, but best advice would be supporting mods first before go fast parts

thanks guys. my goals are to get all those parts on i ordered, paint it black, intake, cam, heads, headers. And my dads is almost done building his 51 chevy truck so maybe me and him can pick up a cheap lq4 6.0 to build up and eventually put in.

And i have a couple questions, should i wait till i do more stuff to the motor to get a tune so i dont have to get it done multiple times?
Can i run 305/45/22?
And what are your thoughts on shorty headers with stock y pipe, cats and my flowmaster?

A tune now will wake it up, most tuners will charge hourly rate second time first time you will pay licsence fee and hourly rate, shorties waste of time long tubes and off road y pipe is the way to go
