After breaking it down I found it had bad main bearings but everything else checked clean so I just installed new rods mains and got my heads rebuilt

Default Breaking the motor down

Well got the block all disassembled today found out why im getting no oil pressure I figure it was the common #3 cam bearing man that thing was baddd I had to pull it out with pliers just so I could get the cam out but its ready to be taken to the cleaning cabinet and then getting it pressure tested for any pin holes and machined for new bearings here's some more pics

Default Ready to drop back in

Well after 6 days I'm ready to put this beast back in, took me about 20 hours most of the days I was just cleaning the engine and engine bay then I had to wait on the machine shop to get done with the black and heads. It has all new bearings from bottom to top, LSX gasket set, Prc 1518 springs, Chromoly hardened push rods, ls2 timing chain, Comp lifters, Comp 212/218 low lift cam, forged dish tops, Mellings hi pressure oil pump, 3 degree angle cut heads, 160* hypertech thermostat, NGK iridim plugs, and its going to be topped off with a ls2 intake, I went with a glass black and silver theme, Here are the pics of the finished products.

You're gonna like that 212/218 cam for sure, I know I do! And if I was you I'd keep the stock truck intake, you lose some low end grunt going with a car intake. You'll also need to change the accessories to the car style ones

Alright I bout it from a close friend so if it doesn't work out hell take it back did you have to tune the truck right after you installed the cam?
