well i know vac modulation means you lose computer control over pressures... wonder if that is causing the computer to not know how to handle wot shifts??

may seem stupid but it makes a morsel of sense in my brain... especially knowing computers like i do

I would say wirring/solenoid problems, but the fact that it only does it a WOT leads to believe it is in the tunning or trans... I'm sure Rick and and the boys at FLT will get to the bottom of it.....
One question though, why vacuum mod?

it is the same tune we had on the first 4L80 and it shifted fine at WOT.

From someone who's been there, that wouldn't keep it from shifting. It would shift harder than hell (and eat itself in relatively short order from this) -- basically you'd be running around at max line pressure 24/7.
