yes, short block should still be good,
I will also take out tranny, transfer case, rear end, drive shafts, and the Quadrasteer unit and put it into the new truck.

it is in kinda rough shape and I really don't like driving it. every time I drive it and I hear a rattle, shake or noise that my other Truck didn't have I get kinda bummed out. So the other day when I was driving it I started thinking that I need to do something with this.

SO LET THE NEW BUILD BEGIN

my old truck is now at Synergy Motorsports,
the engine will be pulled out and gone through, the compression ratio will be raised in preparation for the TVS 2300 to be put on it.
Heads will be sent in to see if they can be saved and Finish line Transmission we be doing my transmission again.

all new Leather interior will be put in along with all new dash pieces.
I will need a complete new paint job on it because there is no way to make this paint job look anywhere close to my old truck.
I like Silver Birch (pewter) so I will paint it that color again but with either more metal flake or Pearl, something to make it POP!!!!!!!!!
anywY I will keep you guys posted.
Mark

l
twins are to expensive and I do not have an unlimited budget like I did on my first set up, this will be a budget build, but don't get me wrong- it will be done first rate and it will be a BAD A$$ truck, I just can't dump 50 plus G's into it.

Mark, my friend, I am glad to see you excited about the truck once again. I am going to Synergy today for an transfusion, maybe I'll peek in on the truck while I am there!

Let the build begin...start a new thread "out of the ashes"

Good to see those parts going to a good use. I think I was one of the first to ask if anything was still good. Why pay twice for what you already have. After your mess it is good to take anything positive out of it that you can. A TVS2300 will be all you need. 8psi of boost and a 438 with a mild cam should be torquey as hell and run 11's while driving like stock.

I honestly am stoked you started back in it, I could only imagine having it done then losing it all and not wanting to do it again, but good for you man, and keep the updates rolling.
