I think mark said the quadra-steer and tranny might be salvageable. I'm surprised the fuel tank didn't go boom!

Im glad to hear the homeowners insurance is gonna cover it, you should get a nice big check in the end. And look on the good side, it always comes out better the second or 3rd time around. Good luck getting it all straightened out

probably going with either an 05, 06, 07 Sierra Denali, something that will be easier to transplant my quadrasteer into,

if I don't thank you guys individually to your posts please for give me, I have a lot of stuff to get done and still need to do normal things like pay bills and things.
again you guys are the best, before you know it there will be a part 2 build thread.

I just thought about Grippy, when ever he finally gets on line and sees this my new project will be started,
thanks guys,
Mark

Im glad everything is working out for you Mark, you've worked your *** off for what you have. So what are you going to get for a replacement since the 4.5dmax isnt coming for who knows how long(might want to check out the 4.5 section on dieselplace.com its not looking good for that motor) obviously you have to have another badass ride to drive

We've had some info from GM at work and we were told it won't be available until around December 2009 or so as a 2010. A new Vortec Max would be a fun start for a project. I believe the 6.2L might also be available in the standard line of trucks this fall also.
