I have had pretty good luck with 3 different Precision Industries converters. They are pretty much spot on for where I have wanted my stalls with the info I give them. And they seem to be pretty efficient. But I have only had their triple disks also.

What stall speed were yall running? Fti told me yesterday 2800 I thought it was a little low but I haven't researched too much into tight vs loose converters with the higher hp turbo. I had a 3600 on my gmc with turbo but only made about 600 hp

I would assume looser would be better

Mine is a 3200 stall. I told them it was a turbo setup and they said they would put a different stator in the converter? I know Crap about converters. But I can brake stall with hydroboost 8-9psi no problems with my setup.

Trans is done! Snipez on ls1 tech is the guy that built my trans. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained how everything worked and went together. I'll definitely be using him again. And recommend him to anyone in the Houston area looking to get a trans built. If i decide to get a trans brake he will be the one to take care of the install no doubt.

Got the c notch done. Also had some pieces welded together for the v band off the turbo with a bead rolled end so i can still get a good clamp off the turbo and not worry about blowing off the coupler and the race part soloutions clamp that connects the tb and charge pipe

Next up will be the shocks with shock extenders and the dual fuel pump install

I don't understand how you could give an assessment on the trans before you've even run it.

The build looks great and I can't wait to see the outcome. Given light weight reg cab, you should run 9s no problem. Id love to replicate your build.

All hopes and dreams man! Build went together pretty seamless so i can only hope it does whats its designed to do. Has all the necessary parts so we shall see!

As far as the 9's that is my goal but ultimately ill be happy with a mid to low 10 sec pass...I don't want to blow it to pieces just yet lol. Since you are in Houston maybe you will be able to check it out one day when its done. That being said if i ever get a break from all this ot at work the truck should be done by the end of the month.
