In this pic the line at the bottom lines up, but the gap is way off, it opens way up at the top and close at the bottom like its twisted or not square on the frame. If the cab mounts were bad, the line at the bottom wouldnt line up, the cab would be lower.

I'm not the smack-talking type, so I'm just going to tell you to spend a bit more time grinding the metal clean before you weld. It will really help your welds turn out a lot better.

Best part of the whole thread:
Custm2500:
Plus for me fabrication is much cooler than bolt on. I don't remember who it is but someone has in there sig. "Bolt ons are for beginners."

poboychevy:
there is absolutely nothing you did that i would consider "fabrication". you hacked off a bracket and boogered it back to the frame. and as for the bolt ons are for beginners.....you sir are a "beginner" and should respect the saftey of others and yourself. i have seen alot of hacks back in the day when all there was was mazdas, toys, and nissans rollin and what you did is a hack.

I'd leave aircraft to the professionals, Scott.

Agreed on both.. Those welds are not totally hateful, but do need work.. None the less I just think we are all used to seeing really clean jobs.. If it works for ya, go with it.. Jus saying
