I wonder if the Rotor design of the TVS has anything to do with the lower IATS?

Like the difference between the MP series and the TVS series rotors.

Go check out my thread on my intercooler findings... https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...9/#post5315634 It could explain why KB iats are so high.

I saw that. But I also know the MP series rotors were different from the TVS series.

The MP's had higher IATs as well.

Reading everyone else's progress updates and realized I hadn't updated mine since I got the truck running. The phenlolic spacer turned out nicely and truck runs great. It needs some idle airflow tuning now but fueling across the board seems on par. Took it to the track the Friday after getting it running and it ran a 11.18@123 spinning to 1.74 60'. Next pass spun just as bad then felt like it lost some power at the top of second netting a 11.53@119. Looked over log to see less boost and timeing with higher iat. Popped the hood to find my intake tube came loose and was crooked in the elbow at the thottle body. The track was a cluster so I only got those two passes. It was probably a blessing in disguise because last week I was taking a trip to the store with the new MT radials, took a corner with some throttle and one of the traction bars let go. So over the weekend I removed the long bar setup and converted it over to an assassin type setup. I will try to get some pics up this evening.

Had to go to my father-in-law's wood shop to use his scroll saw as my jig saw wasn't going to get the job done. Even the small blade on the scroll saw had a difficult time with some of the contours. I think if I do another one I will likely try using the rotozip instead. I did use a dremel and a radial bit to clean it up while clamped to the upper manifold.

Finished spacer...

Installed between the manifolds...

KB mounted the fuel rails to the top of the upper manifold so raising it up 1/2" required either some custom mount or injector spacers. I opted for injector spacers from FIC as the regulator and associated plumbing are also mounted to the upper so raising the rails kept everything inline. This presented another problem with the angle of the injectors so I tapped the rails to move the mounts accordingly.

After doing the flip kit, the longbars I made were a bit too short only engaging a few threads on each heim. I knew I was on borrowed time and was surprised they went as long as they did without issue. However taking right turn with a little throttle sealed on of the bar's fate. I had picked up a set of front brackets from Vic at VAS a few months ago to modify my bars to fit.

As with others with Assassins have to do, the middle leaf had to be trimmed.

After mocking up the front brackets, I marked the bars, cut and welded in new end bungs.

With a few coats of paint...

As of now they are still hanging there waiting to be installed. It will be a few weeks before they get installed as I leave for Brazil on Saturday for 9 days.

I had to use the IR camera at work the other day and brought it home over the weekend to take some pics of the truck for grins and giggles. I wish I had done this before installing the phenolic spacer to get a good comparison. It does seem to be a bit cooler than the rest of the engine. These pics were taken after ~10mile drive in stop and go traffic and engine still running.

This one doesn't really show anything, just though it was a cool pic.

Cool pics. We have one of those at work but I've yet to be able to use it for my truck.
