Wow, I just popped in for an update. And forgive me as I just glance through all the discussing, but I will add this.........

The piston above in question is "broke".

This piston is "burned"....

I agree with that too.

I dont think it melted, I think lack of meth caused detonation/preignition. Rest is history.

This is the only case I can think of where a lack of meth is a bad thing.

Just out of curiosity, you guys keep mentioning that yall have the blower speed maxed out. What are the actual (not advertised) pulley dimensions and what are the shift points. I'd like to compare those to my notes from my old combo.

When I say actual and not advertised, the pulley set up I ran, measured out slightly different than what the manufacturer was claiming. This issue with this is that you have one manufacturer for the crank and another for the blower..........so the advertised numbers could be different as each company may have a different way of measuring.

It really doesn't matter how you measure the pulley as long as both are measured the same because it is a ratio. But, for the sake of comparing with my notes, take a tailors tape measure and wrap it around each pulley and send me those circumference numbers. You should be able to get these circumference numbers accurate to about 1/16". I'll take it from there.

What's the max D1 rpm? That's 15,888 rpm at blower, what's its internal ratio?

If I found correctly that's 70,544 and it's rated at like 65,000 correct?
