Man that sucks *****, I got raked by a guy in Columbia MO that was running 'speed shop'. I ordered transmission lines for a 4l80e that were supposed to be braided stainless lines... What showed up were some rubber lines and pipe fittings from Lowes. I immediately shipped the **** back after taking a picture and got a tracking slip from the post office. I literally had it in my possession less than a half an hour.

I immediately filed a dispute with paypal, what a joke !! Their stance was as long as he shipped parts they won't dispute it and he had a tracking #. I asked the woman if I listed a diamond ring on eBay and shipped someone so long as I can prove I shipped them something its OK? She referred me to the US Post Office for mail fraud... Weak Paypal, Weak.

Anyhow, not being local to Columbia MO, I used my resources available to me and within a day, I had the guys phone # both for his home and shop.. I became his worst nitemare and ultimately filed a dispute at the better business bureau before I finally got my cash back...

Sorry you got stiffed, it really takes the fun out of our hobby when you work so hard to make the $$ and someone just rips ya off.

No he is in the KC area in the hood and drives a GTO thats 4 different colors might as well be a harlequin GTO it was an ad on craigslist and i spent plenty of time talking to him about it, he told me it all sorts of stuff that it had. i should have known it was fucked when it was missing a rear pinion yoke seal, cable shifter bracket and the main wiring harness was loose. but i felt the seal and cable bracket were small problems and the guy seemed ok.

yea if it wasn't bought from any business if it was i definitely would be fighting this. This is the first time i've had anything like this happen so im pretty pissed it'll be another $1000 on top of it at least just to get it back to where i want for my HP level. i dont understand why people feel they have to lie about these things and just let us know the real diehl i would have been ok knowing what was in it.

SO got the truck tuned, still not 100% on everything, i havent got past 65% throttle in it due to the driveshaft grinding on the slip yoke. im not sure why it would be doing it ill take pics of it later today and post them here. I havent seen anything like this before im thinking it might be the u joint or the crush sleeve maybe in the rear end causing it. The u-joint was recently replaced though

Heres a video of a 80 pull a friend got but ended up stopping the video short
worth it though.

just enough to get it to shift into 2nd and not get the driveshaft to hit, makes about 14lbs around there.

So found out it wasn't a rod bearing that spun. i got the pan off and saw the timing chain hanging there and next thing i know i see a bolt that was sheared off in the pan with some other metal. the bolt was one of the 3 cam gear bolts. im not sure how this happened or why i tq'd them to spec and everything was lined up correctly with the oil pump. i havent got the oil pump off yet but im assuming its probably messed up also. i found something that looked like a dowel pin down there also, so i need to find what that went to. other than that took the valve covers off and everything looked A okay and the bottom end was the same.
