Help with drag/street tires on my '03 RCSB 402 build
#1
Hey guys, I'm getting ready to start my project on my 2003 RCSB chevy silverado. I'm putting in a 402 stroker LS engine into my truck, should make good power, hoping in the 500-600 hp range. My truck does get drove to work sometimes but never during the snow or rain. It is due for some tires so I'm looking for a good street tire that will hook up but I do want to go to the drag strip maybe a few times during the season to see what the truck will do so I'll need something that hooks up well but works well on the street. So I'm thinking 15 or 16 inch tires on the back and not sure for the front. I will also need a good set of rims. Could you guys help me out with this? Anyone have any pictures of trucks set up like this? Course I'll be upgrading the usually stuff, tranny and driveshaft and changing gear. Thanks guys for any help.
I posted this in another section but only got one response, looking for more responses. But this will be more street than anything.

I would look into the Nitto Dr's ...They have good street tread wear..A good street size is the 305/45/18 , but you mentioned a smaller rim size..Mickey Thompson also makes ET streets you could check out..I would run a 28.5 to 30" for lowered truck and a 29.5 to 31.5 for stock imo of course..use the tire hieght calc link to see if the tire you like fits..

As for rims, I would look into some Centerlines
