The lts are going to be bad for heat retention, there are TONS of threads on tech about doing away with lts and going to manifolds and how much better spool time was.

Yup! They are coated but I'm gonna wrap them up too! I know they also pull away from low end but hopefully with the TQ and the small A/R and a couple other things I'm doing it'll help in the low end. I'm hell-bent on keeping the heat from disapating so if you have any suggestions let me know. I still have the stock 5.3L manifolds that I could use if I need to I guess. They'll fit on a 6L??

I belive that your 5.3L exhaust manifolds will work fine on the 6.0L heads. Thats a real project you took on! I felt like mine was big enuff. Good luck with the rest of the build!!

List has been reduced by 80% due to time constraints. Next up after this is Brakes and suspension.

Looks good Jules! Nice progress pics. All the truck exhaust manifolds are the same. There are shops out there that machine (port) the exhaust manifolds to match or exceed the port opening on the head, if you are thinking about trying stockers out. Are you still planning on using a dana 60?

Thanks Henry!
I'll give these a shot and if I don't like them I'll port out the stockers like you mentioned and give that a go.
The rear-end is part of the 80% that has been cut-down because I was running over the alloted "jackstand time" allowed!
I'm still undecided though, you think I should do the dana-60?
I plan on being up there at the end of the month for the gtg. I'll stop by like I promised and if you feel like switching one out with me we can try!

btw, I have a present for you when I get up there...(hint)it's purpose is to marry the engine and tranny together...

Sounds good, I can't wait to see the truck in person! I am not sure which axle I would use, the 60 has a big ring gear, but I think the 9" has an extra pinion support. As long as you could find a 6-5.5" bolt pattern you need for your wheels, I am sure the 60 would do just fine (cheaper too).

Thanks for saving your stock flexplate for me, J/K. It's a tripple disk right?

Dude that looks BADASS!! I happy u got some progress finally...I know how frustrating it is There's a good chance I'll be picking mine up 2nite Beauty is its a solid 45 miles home from the tuner, so I'll get a great 1st spin. Lemme know how urs runs...gotta try and be patient before going for the final #'s. Prob won't do the max rwhp runs before stage 2 tuning after 1000-1500 miles. Good Luck - I'm jealous...maybe I shud start my 502 now! R/
