Default finally making progress 6.0 s10

Pics are in garage a few weeks ago I picked up 01 chevy grille and lights so it won't look like a jimmy anymore ( can't have a truck with same name as me) yesterday my boss gave me the harness for my headlights and I started on making an 03 fuel pump harness work for it, only question I have for that is do I eliminate evap or keep it? The heads, 5.3 castings are hopefully going to dave at head games next week for port polish and 2.04 - 1.6 valves . I gutted a 5.3 & 4l80 so I can mock up everything. Not to worried about accessories since the only thing I will be running is an alternator but I need to make trans crossmember and check fit on headers (which I still need to get) want 1 7/8 full lengths. The engine trans harness is out of 03 van 2500 that the engine and trans came from I have to change that to be a stand alone. Next is the bottom end ,an lq4, I want to get some flat tops for it and maybe rods too. This weekend if I can move what's left of the tahoe out of the way I would like to tear down the motor and check the bores if anyone has any ideas or parts letter me know thanks

Default mock up time

dropped my son off at 4 then got this done. removed rad support and hood, removed some of the wiring from the previous owner (everything he wired in he used red wire on everything!) cleaned it up a little . bolted my mock up 4l80e (empty) to my lq4 short block. had these mounts for two years never thought they would work so I figured I would try them and it worked!! here are some cell phone pics ... sorry bad quality

no i didnt drop the gen 4 idea , the ly6 is sitting next to the truck on the engine stand waiting to tear it down for the 4.8 crank and rods . the lq4 is lighter just the crank and cam is in the bottom end so i'm just using it for mock up with the LY6 heads on it going back now to see how the flipped manifold deal will look!!

Have you done any math on this for deck height vs CH/rod/stroke? All the numbers I have seen don't add up for being able to just drop the stuff in.
