Question Engine swapping 2011 gmc sierra 1500 sle into 2006 chevy 2500hd

Engine swapping a 2011 Gmc Sierra 1500 Crew cab 4wd engine into a
2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 1LT

I need to know if this is possible, and what would be required to do so.
Please tell me any information you know about this if possible or if not. I am
trying to a put the 2011 gmc sierra 1500 engine into the 2006 chevy 2500
hd.
I am trying to figure what needs to be done to do the switch, Is it possible to
just drop it in and use a computer or do i need to retune something.

I just need to know what needs to be done, tools needed, and if its even
worthwhile.

Vin numbers
2006 - 1GCHK23U66F166410
2011 - 3GTP2VE33BG225875

Possible but you will not like the truck.

Need to swap crank reluctor and cam gear. Redrill knock sensor holes in the sides of the block to accept 06 knock sensors or just turn them off in the tune. Use 06 PCM, harness and sensors.

Yup, what @shakenfake said.

In addition, on the newer engine you need to remove that AFM/DOD mess if it's still there, which involves lifters, cam and valley cover (also tune.)

Swap the 4L80e flex plate with that little crank spacer onto the donner engine.

Do you already own the newer truck? It may be better to just find yourself another LQ4 for a direct swap.

I have the both trucks at disposal, all parts, I have everything. Are there anymore details you can provide so I know if it's too much work or if it's possible with the steps you provided.

If you are still asking that question after what we told you already then yes it is going to be too much work.
