My point is that.. Just because you read here that someone did it and they say it worked great does not mean its a good idea. For towing there is no way in hell I would use something that big, maybe to tow a lawn mower... If you are pulling any significant weight with a 6.0 I would keep the duration no larger then mid 220's on like a 112lsa with a couple degrees advance cut in.
Will your cam work? Ya. Will it be optimal? No. I also wouldn't use a 3200 stall to tow either, especially with a 60e. I would also want a good triple disk converter. But again these are just my opinions, and they are based on my preferences. Everyone's differ.
It all comes down to how much weight and how often you will tow.
And towing 18,000 with a 1500 Tahoe is completely asinine! Doing so jeopardizes anyone on the road around you as well as your self.

Mine is only a 217/229 114lsa and it pulls to 6400 fine and has great lowend, granted I have a couple PSI helping out. I have ran this cam NA before though.

There's a reason things have a towing capacity rating... The brakes, suspension, FRAME etc are not up to the task of that much added stress... But hey, you've never given a **** about frame integrity before so have at it!!!!! Just make sure when you do pull your stunt it's about 2-4am so the only people you endanger are idiots who are probably driving drunk already

Honestly towing the min ex. wasn't a big deal. Stopping was good as the Hoe had new pads and the trailer had brake on both axles. Honestly they camper was a bigger "threat to society" because of the large size it did kinda wiggle the truck around on the highway. Nothing crazy at all.
I realize you can't take anything for gospel that one person say on the internet, and I didn't. I just used him as one example, as I have seen a bunch of guys with 224 cams towing. My 3200 is a cheap FTI and so far it has pulled a bobcat and a good number of cars, including a light probe from D.C. to Ohio but that was up and down some good hills in PA. It is over a year old now and hasn't let me down once. I realize it isn't probably going to last forever but for the $300 I paid I have more then got my money worth!!!
Again I now have a some time under my belt and have seen a number of guys towing with 3200 stalls or bigger. I am not saying it is the answer for towing but there was a time when 150 is all that people thought you could put on a stock V8, or if you wanted to boost you had to lower compression, and 8 psi is all that goes with a stock bottom end. I am not revolutionizing the cam and stall selection for towing but I am trying a performance oriented combo that hopefully can pull a 5000# load a few times a month when needed.
