Ok so I put in a 255 fuel pump in my 02 silverado and it started up seemed fine I drove it about a mile and it shut off I waited a few minutes it started and drove a bit further it died it happen 2 or 3 times limping it back home. Any ideas?

Are you losing crank signal when it gets hot, or something...when it shuts off do you have fuel pressure? Spark?

It's like the pump is shutting down. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge guess someone needed it worse then me it just not in the tool box anymore if I kick it in to neutral it sputters a second then dies I'm going to pull it back out tomorrow and check everything then I guess I'll buy another and see if it's just a bum pump

Ok so I'm a dumbass! I took the pump back out, and at the bottom of the bucket there's a rubber piece the inlet sits in and I missed the hole! I placed it firmly in there and now it works great! I think the pump was pulling the bucket empty and the fuel wasn't fill up fast enough so I was running out of gas. 😒😒
