Great job man! Does the gate vent both banks or just one? Hard to tell in the pics.

You are going to constantly have problems with wires sitting on the manifolds no matter how much heat protection you have on them. I still have my quarles on the valve covers except three of the four on each side are custom length and go up and over and around the manifold instead of through it. There are pics in my build thread.

^^ Its weird you have so many problems with heat in your engine bay. I'm sure I'm not making as much heat as your combo with mine being so much smaller but I haven't melted anything this entire summer and its been up to 115* here.

Ambient temp is really irrelavent when it comes to underhood temps. My hot pipes are 800f just on a cold start idle.

Yeah this is for sure a nice build for the budget. A little time, creativity and tools can make a lot happen.

Hey guys sorry I haven't responded recently I didn't get any email updates.

Yeah it's a vw coolant reservoir it's the only one that would fit.

I ended up getting Pontiac g6 wires that are crazy long but worked because I was able to route them around the manifolds.

Atomic- My hot side after driving, with NO boost, is only 500 degrees. I doubt the e85 is making a 300 degree difference but I can't see your hot side being 800 degrees just idling?

I did use eBay v bands they can be hit and miss. The only real issue is some of them use a 10mm nut which is too small and pulls the threads. That only happened with one of mine fwiw.

Truck is running good still I've put close to 1000 heavily abused miles on it, knock on wood. I don't see how my 193k mile stock clutch is still alive. I just changed waste gate springs and have it up to 12-13psi. Not much change from the previous 11 but every little bit helps. I need to get a mbc. Timing is 15.5-16 degrees could use a little more. I don't have any good videos yet but we did the cruise for cancer last weekend and I got a small burnout video unfortunately you don't catch the roll out because of people and a finger. Turbo 4.8 5 speed burnout - YouTube

Sorry I missed this before. Technically it's biased to the driver side because it's before the merge.
