No i swapped it out for a corvette tank.

TURE STORY

little over a month ago I got my 87 short box back on the road (sat with no engine for 4.5 years) I own this truck going on ten years and 25k invested mostly in the drive train 383 stroker holley efi, built 700r4, built 12 bolt

so got the engine in dropped it off to be tuned on the dyno picked it up it straight to the drag strip from the dyno shop (keep in mind have not drove it in a while) 2nd pass the tail shaft of the trans brakes trans fluid gets on the exhaust go's up in flames track officials come running with fire extinguishers I start yelling let it burn just let it burn they asked me why I told them put me out of my misery

this 87 had been a battle the whole way I really wish they let it burn but O'well it up for sale now fighting a loosing battle hopefully will be over soon

the worst part 3rd engine only ran 13.3 both passes, but spinning it 1.82 60' that make sense? this should of been a mid 12 second truck!

 

It worked fine for years. I liked the look of the corvette one better.

 

Y'all sound like me trying to get Smokeshow to at least tune his Cruze!
