I hate gauges. They always end up being bearers of bad news.

then you need gauges to monitor your gauges. i was going to go crazy on the gauges on my truck until i figured out the prices of aftermarket gauges. i'll keep my OEM stuff thanks lol. gauges make me worry about, and over ****-ize stuff.

Hmmm, i have a ton of left over -8 fittings and hose, think i should use -8 instead of -10? The only reason i went with -10 was due to all the pre-assembled kits i have seen on various sites....

just to monitor the health of the tranny, alot can be determined by monitoring that pressure... For example if your max pressure is 100psi, that would be bad...

-8 or -10 will be fine, I just had more -8 left over and my original block was machined for -10 so I had to use that. The new block (like yours) is 3/8npt so I could use -8 and eliminate all the adapters I had to use.

Well i got the oil temp gauge hooked up and went for s short 5 min drive no boost, just cruising in grandpa mode. The temp steadily climbed to 210* when i finally shut it off. It is only like 85-90* out right now. So tomorrow will be interesting when i drive it to work in the 105* temps. Also my EGTs only got up to 950*. Normally at cruise they get to 1000-1050*. So this will be a good test to see if i really need to add the cooler or not.
