That burkhart piece is nice in that it bolts in, but it does not address the issue of using the factory brake switch. I did a write up on how to do it in my project thread.

I definitely read that. Lots of cool ideas from your thread. I'll either do what you did or just use a break pressure switch

If needed, I can always add a second caliper to the rear

Gotchya , that makes sense since your deleting the Power steering also . Carry on

(I)-we , were thinking street/strip build , your doing a full strip build basically so the parts were used to aren't needed . Like our drag cars , no PS, no alternator / elec water pump , just the essentials .

Exactly. Most truck guys so a truck as an overly built truck to use as a towing/heavy duty daily use.. It's being built just like a race car.
I can only imagine what people say when I cut the front of the frame on my truck.

Lol don't get it confused, it will never be a strip only truck. It will still have a badass stereo and power windows and locks. I'm just getting rid of heavy stuff in lieu of lighter weight/not as big and bulky/ugly stuff. Still have an alternator, will probably end up with a stock water pump since I can't see myself spending $600 on an electric.

It probably gets into that "what is a streetcar debate", but in my opinion it's just got some racecar oriented parts. I don't even own a trailer so it doesn't have any choice but to be a street truck lol
